Connect to QuickBooks Online

Connect your Werx account with QuickBooks Online and keep your data synced with bi-directional syncing.

Important
If you are a new Werx account, we strongly recommend that you connect to your QuickBooks account and import your data from QuickBooks Online before starting to use Werx. This will make sure that your data between both systems is tied together correctly. While Werx will try to match existing data in each system If you begin importing data in Werx and then connect to QuickBooks, some errors or duplicates may occur.

Connect

  1. In the accounts settings section ,select QuickBooks in the left navigation.
  2. Click Connect to QuickBooks button

From here you will be taken to a QuickBooks Online connect screen. Follow instructions on the QuickBooks pop-up. This process will take a few minutes.

When you return to the Werx QuickBooks connect screen, you will see an indicator showing that your accounts are now connected, along with the date and time you connected your accounts and the date and time of the most recent sync.

You will also now see Tabs at the top left of this screen a (Connect, Transactions, Defaults, Accounts) as well as a Sync button on the top right.

You should also see a pop showing the progress of importing initial data (Chart of Accounts, Terms, Classes, Locations, Payment Methods, and Tax Rates) from QuickBooks Online. If you don’t see this popup you can manually sync…

Manually Sync Data

If you ever need to change your Chart of Accounts, Terms, Classes, Locations, Payment Methods, or Tax Rates in QuickBooks Online, you can return to this screen and click Sync in the top right.

Next Steps

After you have connected your Werx and QuickBooks Online accounts and imported the initial QB data, the first thing you’ll want to do is import your catalog items (Products & Services).

Once your Catalog items have been imported, set you Sync defaults:
